Position Overview

As our Wellness Director, you'll be the driving force behind creating a dynamic and engaging wellness program for our residents. From fitness classes to wellness workshops, you'll have the creative freedom to design and implement programs that inspire a healthy and active lifestyle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive wellness program tailored to the unique needs and interests of our residents.
  • Lead and organize fitness classes, yoga sessions, and other physical activities that cater to various fitness levels.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure personalized wellness plans for residents with specific health needs.
  • Foster a sense of community by organizing social events and activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Provide educational resources on health and wellness topics, empowering residents to make informed choices.
  • Actively engage with residents, building strong relationships and a supportive community.

Qualifications

  • Passion for promoting wellness and enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
  • A degree in Health Promotion, Recreation, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing wellness programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families.
  • Previous experience in wellness programming, health coaching, or healthcare management, especially with the elderly population.
  • Strong understanding of wellness principles, nutrition, fitness, and health promotion strategies.
  • Ability to assess residents' needs and develop individualized wellness plans.
