We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Supply Chain Specialist to join our Manufacturing Operations team. This is a full-time, temporary contract position. This individual will assist with inputting and managing transactions in SAGE X3 for our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting direct manufacturing in a regulated environment. This is a very active role whose responsibilities will continue to change as the company evolves. As the Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a vital role ensuring continuity within our manufacturing organization. In collaboration with our Planning and Purchasing team, you'll work with our suppliers to ensure supply continuity. The ideal candidate is someone with a production control background that wants to learn and develop expertise in materials management, sourcing, procurement, planning and logistics.

- Receive and processes deliveries; unpack, inspect for damage, verify against packing slip, etc.
- Prepares outgoing shipments, package materials and label boxes, as required
- Support shipping and proper execution of selected incoterms for import/export
- Primary responsible party for working with shipping and freight forwarder partners
- Maintains records of shipments and deliveries
- Maintains stock of packing materials and supplies
- Plan, prepare, issue and control proposed production schedules and coordinate changes with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Supplier Management to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials is timed to meet Manufacturing need dates
- Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, materials, and services are provided, as needed
- Resolve master schedules and production planning with our supply base
- Coordinating interdepartmental activity with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, supplier management, and goods movement to resolve schedule misalignment, business system constraints and requirement inconsistencies
- Develop metrics to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making
- Manage supplier lead times and drive them to meet business requirements
- Understand forecasting, demand planning, material planning, and manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments
- Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving unplanned excess
- Efficiently manage BOM and design changes for production workorders
- Support purchase requisition approval process
- Create, modify, and communicate/send completed purchase orders
- Working cross-functionally with different departments
- Resolve price/cost discrepancies on quotes and invoices
- Support Accounts Payable team to ensure on-time payables
- Execute, manage, or oversee various day-to-day inventory management processes (i.e., work order issue, cycle counting, material transfers)
- Monitor product/material velocity and adjust warehouse space and locations accordingly.
- Prepare and participate in physical inventories
- Reconcile production, inventory, or materials to validate system receipts
- Ability to differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable product; act to quarantine, communicate, and rectify any nonconforming products
- Completes necessary physical and virtual records for operational and audit purposes.
- Ability to train another team member in routine work responsibilities of the job according to standard operating procedure
- Experience with Sage X3 (SCM) required
- APICS certification a plus (but not required)
- ISO13485, GMP knowledge a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in Purchasing, Inventory management, Shipping/Receiving, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Full knowledge and application of the principles and theories of procurement and supply chain
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong oral and written communication and the ability to multitask while be organized and responsive to the organizational needs
- Understands and displays teamwork with all shifts towards meeting departmental goals and metrics
