The Office Manager role works as a team with the Inbound and/or Outbound Managers to run the facility as needed. You’ll be supporting the shipping, receiving and inventory functions by ensuring the readiness of the facility and equipment, supporting training and supervision of the staff, communicating with our other locations, managing the front desk of the office, and providing oversight to compliance and quality control efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the front desk responsibilities – greet guests, answer phone, direct visitors appropriately, scan employees in/out
  • Track delivery and receiving appointments, including scheduling carrier trailers/pickups
  • Log returned packages and daily deliveries
  • Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and maintained in safe and operable condition by managing the maintenance personnel and contractors as needed
  • Maintain all compliance, training, and security logs
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires and temporary associates on safety, SOP’s, and EGS policies and procedures
  • Manage and provide basic troubleshooting for PPE and company-issued handheld equipment
  • Track the donation and discard of food products
  • Cross-train on other management functions to provide support as-needed
  • Provide administrative and clerical support including but not limited to ordering supplies, booking contractors, printing orders, readying and distributing mail and packages, etc.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are understood and followed by team
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to management
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse neat and organized
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all company SOP’s

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a substantially similar role
  • Food and beverage industry experience, preferred
  • Demonstrated success in a past leadership role
  • 2-3 years of experience with and demonstrable knowledge of the safe operation of forklifts (preferably standup), reach trucks, and similar material movement equipment in a warehouse environment, preferred
  • Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping
  • Demonstrable ability to exercise good judgement in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated success with time management and organization
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Ability to anticipate possible issues
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in a fast paced environment
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

Shift

  • Monday through Friday 6am- 3pm
  • Working flexible hours to accommodate completion of daily assignments including some weekends as necessary
