Description
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for planning and implementing a yearly calendar of youth and adult sports and recreation programs
- Set goals and increase member involvement within existing programs
- Direct and supervise sports activities to meet the needs of the JC members and fulfill the club’s objectives
- Responsible for all aspects of preparation and execution of sports events
- Develop new programs, monitor success, and ensure financial responsibility for sports programs
- Facility and court management and maintenance
- Equipment and inventory management
- Court scheduling
- Ensure posted rules and policies are accurate and adhered to
- Develop, manage and execute marketing & promotion plan for all sports programs and events
- Track program utilization and statistics
- Develop new offerings for membership – examples: sports, recreation, team building, social
- Regularly spend time on courts promoting tournaments, leagues, clinics, lessons, and encouraging new & existing players to participate
- Manage financials for all sports; prepare and submit monthly analysis
- Hire, manage, motivate, train and maintain accountability for sports coaches and pros
- Responsible for payroll for coaches and pros, and ensure adherence to budget and P&L
- Exceptional member and staff service skills
- Equivalent experience preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in a management position in a sport or recreational setting; specific to coordinating or hosting tournaments, leagues, and/or events.
- Ability to work in an ever-changing dynamic environment
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organization skills to find important information quickly.
