ELM Utility Services is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Missoula IT team. We are open to candidates with experience ranging from early to mid-career (1 to 5 years). Salary range for this roll is $50,000-$80,000 per year based on qualifications. Our team provides reporting services, database administration, and GIS endpoints used by our operations and corporate groups for essential workflow and business management. Recent and Soon-to-be graduates encouraged to apply.

Preferred Competencies/Skills

  • Experience working in a business analysis, data analysis, or reporting role
  • Must be proficient in writing complex custom SQL queries (T-SQL preferred)
  • Experience modifying and creating Stored Procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SSMS
  • Experience in data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight)
  • Coding skills for analytics and data manipulation (SQL, R, Python)
  • Basic understanding of data pipelines and ETL
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • An automate everything mindset

Desired Competencies

  • Comfortable with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience with administration of ArcGIS Enterprise and/or ArcGIS Server
  • Cloud Experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), Azure Preferred
  • Familiarity with database design and development methodologies
  • Experience with GIS applications (ESRI, Google, OpenStreetMap, QGIS)
  • Power BI DAX competency
  • Experience creating interactive reports (Power BI, Web, Etc.)
  • Experience with SSMS and SQL Server
