Salary Range:$65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

Position Title: Road Service Manager Department: Eagan Shop Location: Eagan, MN Reports To: VP of Maintenance

Summary Of Position

The Road Service Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operations of transportation services by overseeing the road service team. This position is responsible for managing the response to service calls, coordinating repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. The manager will also be tasked with developing strategies to improve service delivery and reduce downtime for vehicles and drivers. By fostering a culture of safety and efficiency, the Road Service Manage will contribute to the overall success of the transportation operations. Ultimately, this role is vital in maintaining customer satisfaction and operations excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Road Service Operations and it’s team members
• Evaluate and improve productivity, optimize efficiency and establish productive working relationships
• Oversee the daily operations of the road service team, ensuring timely and effective responses to service calls
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule repairs and ensure that all vehicles are in optimal working condition
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance service efficiency and reduce vehicle downtime
• Monitor and analyze service performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Coach, train and mentor team members to promote a culture of safety and heigh-quality service
• Responsible for hiring within the department when needed
• Responsible for disciplinary actions/notices when warranted
  
  

Day To Day Assisting The Road Service Team

• Work with drivers and outside vendors on phone.
• Assist drivers on the road effectively and professionally.
• Locate repair facilities for drivers and the operations team.
• Create repair orders in TMT at time of breakdown.
• Review invoices and complete repair orders in TMT daily.
• Complete follow-up phone calls to confirm status of equipment at outside repair facilities.
• Act as primary contact within the Road Service Department during scheduled shifts.
• Note: These are the major functions and accountabilities required of the position and are the predominant criteria by which performance will be assessed. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
  
  

Qualifications

• People Management / Coaching / Training
• Previous experience in a similar role or technical/mechanical background.
• Strong customer service & communication skills; in-person and over the phone.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills with focus on Excel and Word.
• Excellent problem-solving skills (ability to dig into questions and inquires).
• Able to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
• Ability to make sound decisions on objective data.
