Job Description
The Corporate Development Manager leads and oversees corporate development initiatives for our rapidly growing family of companies. The role would work hand in hand with the CEO covering a multitude of items. The ideal candidate will possess a robust commercial background, have extensive experience in working with privately owned companies, and maintain a strong professional network in the banking/financial/investment sectors. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business growth and managing large-scale projects. This role would also provide support and guidance to ensure that all deals optimize both tax and estate planning efficiencies.

Kay Responsibilities
Corporate Development:
- Work directly with the CEO to support him across the enterprise.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities. Develops playbook for acquisition purposes.
- Work directly with internal groups throughout the enterprise to identify growth opportunities and how to best utilize our strategic advantages
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence for potential transactions.
- Develops and presents investment theses, business cases, and financial recommendations to senior leadership.
- Engages with external advisors, investment bankers, and legal teams to facilitate deal execution.
- Monitors industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market developments to identify growth opportunities
- Identify new sectors that the enterprise should pursue
- Supports portfolio company oversight, including financial performance tracking and operational improvement initiatives.
- Support and develop corporate finance needs as well as developing liquidity policies across the different entities.
- Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders, investors, and strategic partners.
- Represents the company at industry conferences, networking events, and investor meetings to drive deal flow and business opportunities.
- Analyzes and optimizes capital structures to support business growth and strategic investments.
- Maintains and develops banking relationships to support financing strategies for both the business and family office investments.
- Provides strategic financial guidance and investment analysis for the family office and its portfolio of assets.
- Assesses direct and co-investment opportunities across various asset classes, including private equity, real estate, and alternative investments.
- Manages relationships with external asset managers, advisors, and other investment partners.
- Assists in estate planning, tax structuring, and intergenerational wealth transfer strategies in collaboration with legal and tax professionals.
- Develop financial reporting, capital allocation, and risk management policies for family office investments.
- Ensure strategic alignment between investment decisions and long-term wealth preservation goals.
- Serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leadership, driving high-priority initiatives.
- Acts as a liaison between the executive team, portfolio companies, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic objectives.
- Develops internal processes and frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Co-ordinates with CEO/CFO on capital allocation and balance sheet optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes.
- Superior negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong financial management abilities, including budgeting and financial analysis.
- Willingness to travel as needed to oversee projects and meet with stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the industrial and chemical sectors.
