The Product Manager- Resin will support the Sales, Manufacturing, NPD, Sourcing, and Marketing, teams around the Siffron resin product Line portfolio of plastic extruded and molded products, such as plastic hooks, data strip, sign holders, etc.

Exempt position, working 40 hours weekly from 8 am to 5 pm with an hour lunch break.

The Product Manager- Resin will support the Sales, Manufacturing, NPD, Sourcing, and Marketing, teams around the Siffron resin product Line portfolio of plastic extruded and molded products, such as plastic hooks, data strip, sign holders, etc.
Essential Functions
- Achieve revenue and margin goals and develop partnerships with key stakeholders at Siffron strategic customers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Lowes, Ulta, TSC, etc.
- Manage key new product projects and relationships within strategic customers and supply chain.
- Create and execute sales and channel plans to acquire new customers.
- Create and execute sales and channel plans to penetrate deeper into current customers—working across multiple departments, establishing relationships at the highest levels, and gaining customer adoption of new products and solutions.
- Cooperate with NPD and engineering teams to identify and foster IP strategy and protection.
- Research and identify content gaps and opportunities based on insights gained through customer research and social listening.
- Monitor competitive products & their positioning/pricing/marketing tactics
- Analyze CRM opportunities to gather insights on price, inventory, or other competitive factors that need optimization
- Identify OEM & Brand customers through their retail environments and products.
- Provide customer feedback, market trends, competitor activity, and product insights to assist with the development and prioritization of product roadmaps.
- Drive coordination within sales and customer service teams to ensure a high level of quality in servicing strategic customers.
- Quickly gain knowledge of new products and product categories within existing customers and identify why Siffron products are a better fit vs the competition.
- Persuade new customers regarding Siffron strengths and acquire business away from the competition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Performance measures will be tied to a performance plan that is driven by the Siffron goals.
- Meet and exceed company profitability objectives on new and existing products.
- Ability to identify revenue opportunities, acquire new customers with outside sales, and develop major customers, ideally in Retail & Brand.
- Compliance with Company Policies (i.e. Safety, Attendance, etc.)

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sales engineering or project management focused on plastics
- Familiar with manufacturing processes for plastic extruded and injection molded products
- MBA or related Master’s degree is preferred
- Experience using CRM tools a plus
- Experience with product development and product launches
- Retail fixture experience or understanding is a plus
- Communication skills. Must be able to communicate to ensure that the communications accurately reflect the desired message and effectively express information.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read the communication styles of customers, team members, and suppliers who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including customers, management, and supporting departments.
- Position requires the ability to work independently to perform tasks.
- Position requires computer training, including personal computer and word processing skills, as well as Microsoft Office Suite application experience focus on Excel.
- Time-management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, each with a different deadline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
- Ability to travel 20%+
- Attending installs of products and working irregular hours
- Moderate-level lifting
