Summary: The Senior Manager of Financial Operations will lead and coordinate our financial operations department. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial management, operations, and technology background, with a proven record of driving operational excellence, process improvement, and team leadership.
This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1 day per week at our Buffalo Grove, IL location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position.

Responsibilities
- Acquires and sustains a comprehensive comprehension of the financial reporting framework and the structure of the general ledger.
- Closely observes and evaluates departmental operations to devise streamlined processes, optimize resource utilization, and uphold a meticulous standard of precision.
- Aids in formulating and implementing policies and protocols for accounting operations and functions.
- Supervise and assess potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
- Harmonize balance sheet accounts and craft comprehensive account reconciliations.
- Ensuring completion of manual and automated fee billing events are completed by team for month end.
- Managing escalations on billing and invoicing issues.
- Addressing questions and reviewing setups and configurations in new invoicing system completed by the team.
- Provide guidance to team during configuration setups.
- Confirm daily order processing is being completed by team and handling time sensitive escalations.
- Assisting on coming up with requirements for automation of manual billing events and scoping calls for new Fin Ops systems such as balance manager.
- Lead team of IC to complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks accurately and within SLA's.
- Redistributing responsibilities within the team as roles evolve with automation and new systems in place.
- Ensuring setups in Fin Ops systems are being made in line with client contract.
- Communicating company initiatives and updates to the team.
- Aligning the team to focus on department and company OKR’s.
- Liaisons with cross-functional departments regarding client reporting, setups, and balances.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial information and support decision-making.
- 5+ years in financial operations/accounting management within the financial technology or related industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient skills in spreadsheet applications, accounting software, and data analysis and querying tools.
- Robust leadership, social skills, communication proficiency, and adept decision-making capabilities.
