Responsibilities

Do you have strong administrative skills and desire to work in a creative setting? This contract role within an academic institution could be just the right opportunity for you! The Executive Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the department Director. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Director’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Serving as primary liaison between Director and internal/external stakeholders
  • Leading & managing special projects
  • Overseeing planning & execution of major events and programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years administrative experience
  • Event coordination experience highly preferred
  • Competency using MS Office, including advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and databases
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset & ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Higher ed experience desirable
