You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating projects which are of importance to the business unit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsible for project execution and commissioning, coordinating multiple activities using mainly external contracted resources
  • Evaluate/ analyze project cost estimates and focus on cost control during execution stage, involves short term planning
  • Ensure that the company and external Health and Safety and building regulations are adhered to throughout the project duration
  • Required to coach, guide and advise site-based support teams and external contractors to ensure the successful deliver of project objectives.
  • Manage delivery of work to required standards which may involve procuring estimates, review of quotes, preparation of order specification, review of vendor drawings and review of instruments included in proprietary vendor packages, design systems and instruments within own disciple and solve problems related to these.
  • Execute the project on time and in a cost-effective manner which requires an understanding of range of work procedures and practices within the engineering discipline.
  • Required to be aware of current best practice in particular utilization of cost/energy efficient materials and try to implement the same at workplace
  • Assist the Project Manager to make decisions in relation to contractor management, materials used and costs.
  • Communication with both internal and external bodies, through telephone, email and face to face discussions.

  • Degree in an engineering discipline

  • Knowledge of engineering and contractor industry
