Basic Purpose:
To maintain all painted surfaces and perform general maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Environmental Services Director.

To maintain all painted surfaces and perform general maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Environmental Services Director.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Knowledge of interior and exterior paint applications
- Sheet rock repair and new installation.
- Wallpaper installation and repair.
- Mix and match colors of paint stain or varnish.
- Fill cracks, holes and joints with caulk putty, plaster or other filler.
- Read work orders and receive instructions from Director or Resident.
- Covers surfaces with drop cloths and masking tape.
- Remove Fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch overs from walls prior to painting.
- Basic Plumbing, electrical and woodworking skills.
- Clean/pick up area after work is completed.
- Check all public and common areas, stairwells, elevators, bathrooms and kitchens form burned out light bulbs.
- Assist any other staff member with general repairs or problems if requested.
- Responsibilities may include to make rounds throughout the building on a designated shift.
