EDG operates as a fast-moving, horizontal startup focused on bringing institutional-grade solutions & liquidity to the onshore BTC derivatives market. This is an opportunity to take on large responsibility early in one's career and learn directly from finance veterans with long track records of success. EDG is looking for first-principles thinkers to approach a burgeoning asset class, who can adjust to a steep learning curve and take ownership early in their tenure. Ideally this candidate should be able to think outside the box' and problem solve in an asset class that is constantly evolving.
The associate will assist in two primary areas: 1) Trade execution & risk management for BTC and ETH derivatives, and 2) Business development in the US, primarily focused on building a growth motion for EDG as the firm continues to expand. This can also include, but not be limited to, assisting in growing our US broker dealer, EDG Capital.
While preference is for prior experience in finance, specifically sales and trading, all strong applicants will be considered.
A combination of strong analytical skills - day-to-day will involve derivative scenario analysis/modeling, content generation - and customer acumen - day-to-day will also involve interaction with senior client decision makers - are a must.
Qualifications
Education
Ideally, the candidate will possess 2-3 years experience in one of the following disciplines:

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution, preferably with a major in STEM, Engineering, or Finance.
Ideally, the candidate will possess 2-3 years experience in one of the following disciplines:
- Front-office trading or sales, with a strong preference for exposure to foreign exchange, cryptocurrency, or commodity asset classes.
- Hedge fund, asset management firm, or comparable buy-side institution.
- Investment banking, consulting, or a related field.
- Candidates with non-traditional career paths will be considered, provided they demonstrate the ability to excel in a steep learning environment.
