Missionwell is looking for a talented, motivated individual to join our team as the Senior Human Resources Manager. The?Senior Human Resources Manager will lead day-to-day human resources services for several non-profits. They will plan, direct and coordinate human resources activities, policies and programs for Missionwell and its non-profit outsource partners for HR services. The Senior HR Manager will ensure that Missionwell has the systems and procedures in place to support effective HR strategies and excellent service. The Senior HR Manager will work closely with the HR team and payroll specialist to educate them regarding HR and payroll procedures and to provide training, coaching and development to the team.

The?Senior Human Resources Manager will lead day-to-day human resources services for several non-profits. They will plan, direct and coordinate human resources activities, policies and programs for Missionwell and its non-profit outsource partners for HR services. The Senior HR Manager will ensure that Missionwell has the systems and procedures in place to support effective HR strategies and excellent service. The Senior HR Manager will work closely with the HR team and payroll specialist to educate them regarding HR and payroll procedures and to provide training, coaching and development to the team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee onboardings and offboarding, including new hire offer negotiation, orientation, new hire paperwork, benefits enrollments, exit interviews and offboarding procedures
- Develop and implement HR policies for multiple non-profit organizations
- With the use of employee handbooks and applicable laws, determine the best solutions and course of action on employee relations items, ensuring that each non-profit remains in compliance with laws and regulations while maintaining consistent policy application
- Support with the oversight of HR staff to ensure efficient daily workflows and train the HR department
- Conduct performance and salary reviews
- Discipline and terminate employees with guidance from our business partners and Missionwell’s CPO
- Collaborate with executives and senior leadership to align HR policies with the organizations' strategic goals for Missionwell and our partners
- Conduct research, analyze organizational trends and execute best practices for hiring, talent management and retention
- Plan and execute HR functions strategically, such as compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, occupational safety, employee communications, employee experience and employee relations
- Review semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls with efficiency and accuracy. Process the payroll as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Maintain accurate accruals of benefits using HRIS software
- Support oversight of the budget for the human resources department
- Support all HR activities, communications, reports requests, and documents created and received by the team; Provide administrative support to the human resources team by creating documentation of HR cases, proofreading work agreements and documentation, creating and updating procedural documentation, and assisting with the organization of the team’s work.
- Maintain excellent communication with the team and business partners.
- Mutli-client account management experienced is required for this unique HR role
- 5+ years of HR experience, generalist preferred
- Master’s degree in human resources field highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required
- Strong leadership and communication skills; great with people
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Data analysis and interpretation skills
- Experience in managing complex HR projects; good problem-solving skills
- Expertise in HR technology and systems

All Missionwell Staff are required to
- Maintain accurate project action items with status updates in Missionwell’s project management tools; maintain accurate timekeeping.
- Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities, and changes via a regular reading of Missionwell’s communication tools and attendance at staff meetings.
- Maintain a professional development plan for yourself and present this to your supervisor for regular, quarterly review and support.
- Maintain a strict level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Attend and participate in staff and team meetings as requested.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as requested or as assigned.

- Work at a desk in an office or home-office setting; Sit at an office desk for extended periods of time.
- Work for extended periods of time at a computer, requiring the ability to send and receive information with necessary optical, auditory, and manual dexterity.
- Use a keyboard and mouse to enter, retrieve or transfer words or data information and/or move from screen to screen on the computer to view information.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comprehend and speak English.
- Display the reading skills necessary to proofread written material.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
