Purpose and Scope of Position
The human resources assistant will play a key role in supporting the recruitment efforts of the company, assisting the Vice President of Human Resources with talent acquisition and HR initiatives. This role will focus on managing recruiting processes, helping to onboard new hires, and providing administrative support to the HR team. Additionally, the assistant will handle front desk duties, coordinate wellness activities, trainings, and employee engagement events, while maintaining strict confidentially and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities

This role will focus on managing recruiting processes, helping to onboard new hires, and providing administrative support to the HR team. Additionally, the assistant will handle front desk duties, coordinate wellness activities, trainings, and employee engagement events, while maintaining strict confidentially and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the full recruitment cycle, including posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and maintaining communication with candidates throughout the process.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
- Welcome visitors, onboard new hires, and serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Plan and organize company events, wellness activities, and training sessions to foster a positive work environment.
- Maintain employee handbooks and company polices.
- Other duties as assigned
- At least 2 years of recruiting experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a professional, courteous demeanor in all interactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Previous experience in Recruiting, HR, customer service, or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to sit for 8 hours a day.
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing.
- Ability to perform fine manipulation such as typing for 8 hours.
- Near visual acuity to be able to read from a screen for 8 hours.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20-40 pounds occasionally.
- Office setting.
- Warehouse production setting in the back with occasionally loud environment when multiple machines are running.
- When entering the laboratory setting must follow GMP compliance such as a hairnet, beard net for any facial hair, lab coat, long pants, and closed toed shoes.
- Facial piercings must be removable when in the lab.
