General Purpose Of The Job
The Data Analyst role is critical in ensuring the secure and compliant sharing of data with third parties outside our organization. The Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and processing requests for data sharing, conducting due diligence on data recipients, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Experience with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) data sharing framework is highly preferred.

General Purpose Of The Job
The Data Analyst role is critical in ensuring the secure and compliant sharing of data with third parties outside our organization. The Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and processing requests for data sharing, conducting due diligence on data recipients, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Experience with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) data sharing framework is highly preferred.
- Position sits in West Des Moines and will work an onsite hybrid schedule**
- Review and assess all incoming requests for third-party data sharing, including but not limited to customer data, policy information, and market data.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on data recipients and their intended use cases for the requested data within the annuity context.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk management, and IT teams as needed to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all data sharing activities, including request details, approvals, and data transfer logs.
- Leverage DTCC, and other industry standards to facilitate data sharing and collaborate with third-party representatives to resolve any data sharing issues.
- Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to data sharing requests or agreements.
- Conduct root cause analysis of data sharing errors or incidents to identify and address underlying problems (e.g., data quality issues, regulatory changes).
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to minimize the occurrence of future errors.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and adjust as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Insurance, Finance, Law, Computer Science, Information Systems) or appliable relevant experience.
- Experience with the DTCC data sharing framework.
- Experience with data management platforms and tools used in the annuity industry.
- Experience with Ataccama a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks associated with data sharing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with data security best practices and technologies
- Naturally curious with the ability to drive business decisions and solutions
- Proactive self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage priorities through effective time management skills
- Strong execution background with the ability to prioritize solutions for business needs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft and deliver executive summaries and respond to questions.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions demonstrating both strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
