Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated individual that can work both independently as well as in a team environment. We are looking for someone who can cross train with the Accounts Payable team. This individual's main payroll tasks will include the following (but not limited to): Responsible for processing payroll bi-weekly, completing employment verifications as needed, maintain employee records, file workers compensation claims, respond to unemployment letters, and assist during open enrollment for benefits.

On the A/P side, we are looking for someone that can utilize our accounting software to input bills and reconcile credit card transactions, among other tasks.

This position will start as part time and move to full time, once employee is fully trained.

Paid time off and health benefits will be available after probationary period is met.

Requirements:

• Well versed in Microsoft suite, including Outlook and Excel
• Familiarity with payroll software
• 3+ years payroll experience
• Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Prior experience with Billing or Accounts Payable
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Good research and analysis skills
