Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing shipments within our warehouse. This position includes unloading freight, inspecting materials, tracking orders, coordinating shipments, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will work independently, apply knowledge of materials, and use tools and equipment safely to support our team.

Some Of The Work You Will Do
- Receive and unload freight using manual methods, forklifts, and pallet jacks
- Inspect materials for damage and verify order quantity and quality
- Match items received with purchase orders
- Manage and identify raw metals and alloys
- Deliver and retrieve supplies to and from vendors or suppliers
- Track deadlines for shipping and receiving
- Oversee maintenance and licensing of forklifts and trucks
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members
- Work independently based on instructions and expertise
- Read and understand technical drawings
- Operate wood Saw’s and hand tools safely
- Perform other tasks as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand while working
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
- Driving: Clean driving record
- Forklift operating experience
- Basic logistics knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Good organization and tracking abilities
- Ability to work independently based on provided instructions and personal knowledge
- Inventory management experience
- Lift up to 50 lbs for short durations
- Standing consistently throughout the shift
- Walk while carrying materials over distances of 75-100 ft.
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, and crawl
- Frequent reaching and handling of materials
- Awareness of surroundings for safe operation
- Ability to see while wearing personal safety equipment
