a Brief Overview

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is key in leading Engineers and Engineering Technicians, driving efficient and cost-effective Process Design and Manufacturing Engineering activities at the site. You will regularly update site leadership about project progress and contribute significantly to lean and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Process Design and Manufacturing Engineering
    • Coordinate and facilitate projects, creating detailed plans to achieve goals.
    • Develop and execute policies, standards, and procedures for engineering activities.
    • Collaborate with engineers and staff to implement procedures and provide technical support.
    • Stay informed about marketplace developments and identify new product opportunities.
  • Lead Culture Development and Talent Management
    • Align with leadership on employee performance to drive transformation.
    • Ensure a performance-driven culture with suitable talent placement.
    • Oversee the Performance Management Process to ensure alignment and goal achievement.
    • Promote a focus on process improvement and root cause resolution.
  • Achieve Improvement Goals and Support Financial Objectives
    • Align productivity and investment goals with site objectives, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
    • Implement effective management processes to meet site performance metrics.
    • Monitor and adjust cross-functional team activities to meet strategic goals.
  • Develop and Maintain a Program Management Process
    • Own the productivity funnel for site transformation based on value stream roadmaps.
    • Collaborate with Operations Analysts to ensure consistent data reporting.
    • Provide proactive updates to stakeholders regarding programs and corrective actions.
  • Support Implementation of One Orchid Process
    • Ensure training is conducted to meet site goals and program milestones.
    • Work with leadership to communicate program objectives effectively.
    • Participate in leadership forums to convey site transformation goals.
    • Verify team competency before allowing independent project execution.
Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Required)

Experience Qualifications

  • 2+ Years in a Leadership Role within a Manufacturing Environment (Required)
  • 5+ Years of Engineering Experience (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Process (Preferred)
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry (Preferred)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred)
