Summary
The SeniorTraining Manager will lead the creation, coordination, and delivery of corporate training
programs, with a focus on regulatory compliance and employee development. This position reports to the Director of Operations, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is located in Ankeny, IA and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 50%.

Summary

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
- Sr. Training Manager works with EPC personnel to implement and manage a proactive behavior-based approach to operational training. This includes a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, incident prevention, and a management systems approach to compliance.
- Collaborate with the company management to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees.
- Consult with senior company management to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for all employees.
- Partner with Human Resources to align training schedules, discipline policies and reporting needs, ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Assist with development and planning with tracking all employee training
- Continuously helps to evaluate contract employers and contract employers’ practices, procedures to assess and reduce risks for the benefit of employees and contractors.
- Evaluates contract employers’ training programs including qualifications of employees to confirm employees are meeting Qcells minimum standards
- Audits contract employers’ compliance to Qcells and regulatory standards.
- Reviews all current training and suggest necessary changes, additions or deletions.
- Continuously reviews all OSHA, federal, state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations and updates compliance DOT regulations training.
- Prepare and conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Visit work sites to conduct safety & training audits on personnel training completion.
- Interact cross factually with a wide variety of people and teams
- Create and maintain the “Train-the-Trainer“ program to continue to develop and deploy additional training resources to match the company growth goals.
- Assist with arc flash analysis evaluation.
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
- Bachelor’s degree in education, compliance, business administration,
- occupational safety & health or a related field.
- 10-15 years of training experience with a focus on compliance or
- regulatory topics, regulated certification, planning & execution.
- Proficiency in developing training programs across multiple formats (in person,
- e-learning, hybrid).
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on scheduling, tracking, and
- reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work
- effectively across departments.
- Expertise in photovoltaic and battery storage installation codes and
- compliance standards
- Master’s degree in education, compliance, business administration, or occupational safety & health, or other related field.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning software, such as BAI.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills to interpret training metrics and compliance data
- Certification in corporate training, learning and development, or compliance are desirable or the ability to obtain one. (CCT, CIT)
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement and training effectiveness
- Membership in nationally or internationally recognized code & standards developing organizations such as the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Institute of Electrical, & Electronics Engineers (IEEE), National
- Electrical Safety Code (NESC). International Code Council (ICC) or other recognized organizations.
- Technical member in NFPA, NESC, or IEEE or national or international organizations
- Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
- Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
- Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds
