Open Dealer Exchange (ODE), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Practice Lead to support its workforce in Southfield, MI. As a QA Practice Lead, you will be responsible for championing all aspects of quality assurance in a highly regulated and compliance-driven environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products/services. You will lead a team of QA professionals and be responsible for defining and implementing best practices, standards, and methodologies for quality assurance across the organization. Your role will be critical in driving quality improvement initiatives, optimizing testing processes, and fostering a culture of quality within the company. Responsibilities
- Practice Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, methodology, and best practices tailored to the company's needs.
- Test Automation: Promote and oversee test automation efforts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency within the QA practice, and work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
- QA Standards: Establish and enforce QA standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality results in all projects.
- Quality Metrics: Define and implement the methodology for tracking key quality metrics and KPIs to measure and report on the effectiveness of the QA practice.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of QA professionals, fostering career growth and skills development.
- Test Planning: Collaborate with Delivery Leads, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test plans and test cases are consistently and effectively built.
- Quality Advocacy: Advocate for quality throughout the organization, influencing decision-making processes and promoting a culture of quality.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA to ensure the practice remains innovative and cutting-edge.
- Load and Performance Testing: Lead the development of a Center of Excellence for load and performance testing, establishing tools, methodologies, and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance/testing
- Preferred at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes. (Including Postman and Playright.) JavaScript experience is a plus.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience in building and executing performance tests using common testing tools such as K6, Selenium, JMeter, and others.
- Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Expertise in load and performance testing frameworks and tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB, ASQ, CQM) are a plus.
