Responsibilities

  • Aid in setting and maintaining the branding image of the organization.
  • Aid with the production of contracted work, marketing, communications, and web-ready materials that support McMillen Health’s goals and objectives. Experience with in-house marketing or agency preferred.
  • Work closely with the Creative Services Department, Multi-Media Manager and director level staff to coordinate the design of Creative Services projects within required time constraints.
  • Create, manage, and revise the design of contracted projects, marketing, and communication pieces including but not limited to:
    • Print – brochures, flyers, etc.
    • Video
    • Web pages, email (Constant Contact)
    • Social media (Facebook and Instagram)
    • Digital – curricula, handouts, PPT presentations, apps
    • Prepare and revise presentations and other materials used in health education programs and trainings.
  • Collaborate with team to devise creative concepts and solutions.
  • Coordinate communications with outside vendors such as printers.
  • Coordinate with team and vendors to devise creative concepts and solutions.
  • Assist with special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Multi-Media Manager, Director of Educational Services, Director of Operations and Sustainability, and CEO.

Qualifications Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite CC (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), online content management systems (WordPress, Constant Contact)
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Must have good typography, layout design and production skills with knowledge of standard commercial printing processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solver
  • Ability to proof-read, review, and multi-task
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Flexible work style, with the ability to work on multiple projects
  • Highly organized, with the ability to track and monitor multiple projects

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage workload, advising supervisor of significant issues

  • Experience in After Effects, Premiere Pro, HTML preferred, but not required


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts Graphic Design, Videography, Communication, Journalism or equivalent

A minimum of 2 years of experience in Fine Arts in Graphic Design, videography, in-house marketing, or agency preferred.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and moderate lifting. Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. Ability to perform the repetitive motion of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Specific vision abilities include the capability of viewing computer monitor for long periods of time. Strength requirements include the ability to lift and move heavy items, such as boxes containing books and other materials (up to 30 lbs.). Requires hearing within the normal range for telephone use.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
