The Strategy Analyst has a direct impact on Miller Sports + Entertainment key Corporate FP&A initiatives including annual and long-range planning/forecasting, research, strategy, operations, and M&A. The role may perform work for any MSE entity.
The Position Will
- Assist in various strategy, research, and operational projects.
- Provide regular industry coverage of the events industry.
- Assist in various strategy, research, and operational projects.
- Collaborate with Analytics team to manage, plan, and execute the forecasting and planning process, including, but not limited to, the annual financial budget and re-forecasts.
- Review and analyze financial statements and reports comparing anticipated and actual results while also identifying areas of improvement. Collaborate with finance and operational teams to determine and implement appropriate action plans.
- Assist in the procurement of financial analysis to management team in planning, measuring, reporting, and improving performance.
- Assist in the development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives including return on investment analysis to assess initiative success on a pre- and post- project basis.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned by executive leadership team.
- Provide assistance to the Finance department as needed.
- Deliver operational insights by utilizing problem solving and analytical skills to aggregate data from variety of databases, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's Degree preferred)
- 1 + year(s) of experience in accounting, finance, economics, or related field with increasing responsibilities and interaction with senior leadership
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Advanced knowledge of Powerpoint
- Ability to learn Power BI, SQL, Ticketmaster, Archtics, Salesforce, Kore, and Domo
- Ability to think strategically and creatively; highly driven and self-motivated
- Ability to interpret data, develop trend lines, and assist in formulating action plans
- Ability to prepare financial statements and explain results to a financial and non-financial audience
- Ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to determine work priorities, make decisions, and take appropriate actions to meet schedules and deadlines
- Attention to detail and able to multi-task
- Ability to learn and operate accounting software
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
