Status: Intermittent, Hourly, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Aleut Corporation (Aleut) Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of light, medium, and heavy equipment, as well as light to heavy-duty trucks. This role involves performing semi-skilled and skilled duties related to remediation and construction, including operating equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks.

JOB SUMMARY: The Aleut Corporation (Aleut) Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of light, medium, and heavy equipment, as well as light to heavy-duty trucks. This role involves performing semi-skilled and skilled duties related to remediation and construction, including operating equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks.
Primary Responsibilities

- Lead various technical tasks such as work plan and report preparation for different types of client documents.
- Plan, supervise, and execute various types of environmental remediation and monitoring efforts in the field.
- Lead logistics efforts to mobilize/demobilize field teams and subcontractors.
- Lead the development, production, and delivery of technical documents to meet strict project schedules and in accordance with applicable standards for quality.
- Assist in management of projects in accordance with the corporate and contract health and safety requirements.
- Prepare progress reporting documents including weekly and/or monthly status reports, and others.
- Routine maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment,
- Loading/unloading materials
- Collaborate with clients during field efforts
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of equipment operations, construction, maintenance, and workplace safety procedures.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and trucks.
- Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in equipment mobilization to remote locations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to exercise discretion, tact, and initiative in decision-making.
- Willingness to travel locally and out of state for work-related purposes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years’ experience as an Equipment Operator.
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License.
- 8-hour HAZWOPER training.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work regularly in outside weather conditions.
