We are seeking a detail-oriented Labeling & Packaging Specialist to manage and support the label production process while ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role will focus on quality control, vendor coordination, and process optimization to maintain the accuracy and integrity of packaging materials and documentation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
We are seeking a detail-oriented Labeling & Packaging Specialist to manage and support the label production process while ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role will focus on quality control, vendor coordination, and process optimization to maintain the accuracy and integrity of packaging materials and documentation. The Labeling & Packaging Specialist will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and third-party manufacturers to uphold quality assurance standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Quality Control & Compliance
- Oversee the review and approval of label and packaging materials, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines.
- Implement and maintain GS1 barcode standards for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain document control processes, including version tracking and archive management.
- Conduct audits and quality checks to identify discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
- Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Develop and manage relationships with third-party manufacturers, label printing vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless production and delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Product Development, Graphic Design, Marketing, and Customer Service to maintain accurate product and packaging information.
- Coordinate proofing and approval processes for packaging files to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in label production and quality control.
- Assist in data analysis and reporting related to packaging performance, compliance trends, and vendor performance.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- 3 or more years of experience in quality assurance, label production, or compliance management.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Skills
- Strong quality control and compliance knowledge, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Familiarity with GS1 barcode standards and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
