Job Overview
Front-end mechanics will repair, maintain, and operate equipment used in producing cups and cans for the production line.

- Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment such as the cupper, body makers, trimmers, and coil handling equipment.
- Uses hand and power tools such as wrenches, ratchets, various power tools, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure equipment is running properly and product is within required specifications
- May operate machinery such as lathes, presses, and grinders
- Must be proficient in tear down and reassembly of equipment. While ensuring tolerances within thousands.
- Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints
- Troubleshoots and repairs machines when unexpected issues arise.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning front-end process equipment.
- Conducts safety inspections of the equipment and area assigned (front end)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws.
- Must be able to work well within a team environment or on your own.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school or associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical role.
