Our Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; plus (3) year of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate enthusiasm for the product and category.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Ability to perform nighttime and weekend work as required; occasional overnight travel required.
- Willingness to participate in company sponsored events, festivals, and other functions as assigned.
- Build strong working relationships with assigned supplier representatives.
- Assist in developing annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans with suppliers.
- Communicate plans to the sales department via meetings and other communication forms.
- Use analysis of internal sales reports, industry information and supplier data to build plans and monitor results.
- Create sales incentive programs, track and review results with Sales manager and recommend course correction when needed.
- Work with marketing/sales manager to develop marketing plans and adhere to supplier marketing budgets.
- Negotiate supplier co-op programs.
- Assist in the tracking of supplier tactical co-op budgets.
- Work with suppliers and company representatives in the market to ascertain program effectiveness and identify other potential opportunities.
- Develop and make presentations to key customers as assigned.
- Cicerone certification highly preferred.
- Experience working for supplier highly valued.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
