Description

The Manager of Payment Operations oversees the end-to-end processing of payments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, while also managing teams, resolving issues, and driving operational improvements within the payment ecosystem. The roles reports to the SVP of Customer Operations and is responsible for payment implementation, enablement and overall post-sales operational support.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payment operations professionals.

  • Oversee the daily processing of transactions, including payment initiation, reconciliation, and exception management.

  • Manage onboarding process to implement payments feature for new and existing customers ·

  • Facilitate customer enablement to optimize AR and AP usage

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Analyze customer payment usage trends, identifying opportunities to improve adoption strategies and increase revenue.

  • Drive internal education on payment solutions, serving as the company's foremost expert on payment operations and enablement.

  • Ensure the integrity of payment flows, collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to maintain system reliability and optimize processes.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for payment issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve problems efficiently.

  • Work closely with onboarding, customer success and support teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase customer retention

  • Manage relationships with third-party payment processors, ensuring optimal performance, support, and compliance.



Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, business administration, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in payments, finance, or banking operations, with 2+ years of team lead or mentoring experience.

  • Strong analytical and computer skills, proficiency in relevant payment systems and software.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, data analytics and interpersonal skills.
