About The Role

As the Compliance Lead, Customer Onboarding, you will work in a fast paced environment and play an essential role in ensuring n3xt adheres to regulatory requirements when onboarding and maintaining business relationships with other entities. This role is critical in preventing fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Compliance Lead for the Know Your Business (KYB) compliance process, ensuring thorough due diligence on corporate customers.
- Conduct risk assessments on new and existing business relationships, focusing on Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO), corporate structures, and financial risks.
- Monitor regulatory developments related to AML (Anti-Money Laundering), CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism), and global compliance frameworks (FATF, FinCEN, FCA, GDPR, etc.).
- Implement and optimize KYB procedures, policies, and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
- Work closely with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
- Investigate and report suspicious business activities in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive compliance records and audit trails for internal and external reviews.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on KYB best practices and risk mitigation.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in KYB, KYC, AML, or compliance roles in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of business verification, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with compliance tools, third-party data providers, and risk monitoring systems (e.g., Persona, Sardine, Alloy)
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to detect potential risks.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and regulators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to regulatory changes.
- Certifications in AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime Prevention (e.g., CAMS, ICA, CFE).
- Experience working with automated KYB verification systems and AI-driven compliance tools.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FinCEN, OFAC, FATF recommendations, etc.).
