Education & Related Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- Previous experience working in food production, on a farm, or in a similar agricultural setting is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures and industry regulations and guidelines required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), United States Department of Agriculture
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A focused individual capable of repeatedly exerting physical strength to safely lift and transport heavy materials.
- Demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently operate various types of hand and power tools, machinery, knives and saws, and other equipment to complete work tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions, and learn competencies required of the position in a reasonable amount of time.
- The ability to maintain great attention to detail and meet established quality standards while managing tasks of completing priorities.
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and adjust to changing situations.
- The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
