Description
The Onsite Technician must be familiar with the installation of cable, and general cable / infrastructure maintenance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Installation of cable, and general cable / infrastructure maintenance.
Establishes service by studying equipment requirements; researching documentation, ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
Maintains rapport with customers by discussing issues; providing technical support; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
Possess hand and finger dexterity and good eyesight with the ability to determine colors.
Requirements
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Experience with NEC SV9100. Able to perform day-to-day tasks.
Experience with NEC SV9500 Able to perform day-to-day tasks.
Knowledge of Inside Wiring, T-1's, DDM-1000, Fiber Cable, Battery Plants
Capable of running cross connects for day-to-day tasks of relocation and troubleshooting analog, digital, and IP end points.
Installation & Service Experience Must Include “Turnkey Installs”, Connectivity and Testing.
Education And/or Experience
H.S. Diploma or Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
