Job Description

Job Title: Recruitment Specialist Department: Human Resources

Supervisor:Director of Talent Acquisition FSLA: Exempt

Summary

The Recruitment Specialist is the primary resource for growing our company by filling positions with quality candidates who are the right cultural fit. This position manages the applicant tracking software in their daily tasks. The Recruitment Specialist manages the entire employment process for candidates and hiring managers, including application and resume screening, behavioral interviews, decline notifications and offer extension.

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; or one to two years of related experience and/or Human Resource functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Reviews employment applications and interviews applicants to evaluate work history, skills, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications.
  • Reviews staffing schedule and matches applicants with job requirements. Maintains accuracy of staffing schedule.
  • Inform applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other information.
  • Refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for additional interviews.
  • Maintains records of resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection.
  • Updates and retrieves applicant information in computerized applicant tracking systems.
  • Orders background checks, drug screening, and other pre-employment checks on applicants.
  • Oversees all aspects of the applicant process including scoring tests for applicants.
  • Utilize exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills to assess candidates and connect highly qualified individuals with hiring managers.
  • Participates in the recruiting process, including all aspects of advertising, job fairs and on-campus interviews, as requested.
  • Provide relevant and accurate analytical data on applications, no-shows, hires, and time to hire.
  • Completes new hires folders for personnel records, including printing application interview notes, background reports, and any other hiring details.
  • Complete HR Actions to get new employees into the HRIS
  • Maintains ATS and keeps various sections of position requisitions current and reflecting changes to job descriptions and duties
  • Provide insights and data to the Director of Talent Acquisition regarding struggles or bottlenecks in the hiring process.
  • Works collaboratively with the HR and Program Directors to ensure hiring workflow is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Problem solves to find solutions and ideas for difficult to hire positions.
  • Works collaboratively with the Onboarding Specialist to ensure a positive onboarding experience, assist with completing forms, sending new hire emails, and assisting with registration for new employee training
  • All other duties as assigned.
