Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Sous Chef / Production Manager / Business Operations Manager. This unique position combines culinary expertise, production management, and business operations skills to oversee Operations. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production processes, maintain high-quality standards, and manage business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary and Production Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and production of the facility.
  • Ensure all food products meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering and delivery of raw materials.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and test new recipes and menu items.

Business Operations

  • Manage day-to-day business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production and operational performance.

Team Leadership And Training

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, ensuring a high level of employee engagement and performance.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative techniques and technologies into production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Perfer Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food production processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Excel/ Google Docs Software.
  • Prefer Bilingual in Spanish.

Additional Information

  • This position may require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on production needs.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working in a kitchen and production environment with varying temperatures.
  • Lean Manufacturing background. (Six Sigma Green Belt Preferable)
  • Strong proven leadership with focused results based on KPIs.
