We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our Continuous Improvement initiatives. This role will focus on data-driven decision-making by running simulation-based scenarios, analyzing key performance indicators, and providing insights that drive operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and run simulation models to evaluate process improvements, production workflows, and system optimizations.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize data to support decision-making related to production efficiency, inventory management, and distribution.
- Assist in identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks within manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and supply chain, to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights to leadership.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and modeling.
- Powerful communication skills and ability to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel regionally, as needed.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
- Intermediate experience with Power BI and other data analytics software.
- Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic, Simul8) is a plus.
