Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Interior Designer role located in Miami Beach, FL at Urban Robot Associates, Inc.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Interior Designer role located in Miami Beach, FL at Urban Robot Associates, Inc.
Responsibilities
- Assist Principal/Project Managers in spearheading projects
- Participate in all phases of interiors projects, including programming, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration
- Perform interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents (for permit)
- Develop the design direction and design goals of a project, sometimes independently and sometimes in collaboration with other designers and/or under supervision of Principal/Project Managers
- Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
- Responsible for collaboratively developing furniture layouts, mood boards/palettes, selection of FF&E and material specifications
- Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Prepare FF&E budgets and FF&E specifications sheets and Control Books
- Develop drawing sets in full coordination with supporting consultants, including but limited to: architecture, structural, MEP, lighting, low-voltage and food service
- Work collaboratively with team of consulting architects, engineering consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
- 3-5 years of experience as an interior designer
- Having worked at and Interior Design / Architecture office previously
- Possess creative design and drawing skills, which include: material, color and furniture selection, design presentation skills, conceptual design abilities.
- Resourceful and knowledgeable of the appropriate use of materials, finishes and furniture.
- Ability to effectively work in a creative team environment and meet project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials.
- Computer skills to include proficiency in Mac OS, Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Microsoft Office, CAD, Sketchup, as well as other BIM and/or 3D softwares
- Graphic presentation skills.
- Experience with construction documentation.
- Flexibility to either focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.

- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited school
- Must be located in commutable distance to Miami Beach, Florida and in the United States
