We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. We are a privately held company seeking an ideal candidate with extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting, compliance and internal controls. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving process improvements to support the company’s growth.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. We are a privately held company seeking an ideal candidate with extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting, compliance and internal controls. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving process improvements to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and successful audits.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support corporate objectives.
- Assist with tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely filing and minimizing tax risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification.
- Proven experience as a Controller.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, consolidations and eliminations.
- Three years of experience with a Big Four or large accounting firm.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
- Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams and driving operational improvements.
- Strong experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with strong organizational experience.
- Experience in a publicly traded company or high-growth environment.
- Manufacturing accounting experience.
- Understanding of M&A, treasury functions, and financial risk management.
- Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and data analytics.
