Trueline's client, a leading HVAC and mechanical installation company, is seeking a Chief Estimator to join their team in overseeing the estimation process for construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a critical function within the organization.

What You'll Do As The Chief Estimator

  • Spearhead the estimation department, providing mentorship and guidance to staff
  • Craft and implement innovative estimation strategies to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, covering all aspects from labor to overhead
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to identify cost implications and potential risks
  • Lead bid proposal preparation, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with company goals
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather accurate pricing information
  • Participate in project meetings, offering insights on cost implications and budgeting
  • Analyze market trends and historical data to inform estimation practices
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on estimates
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for cost estimation and project execution

Must-Haves: - confirming with HM – will update

  • 7+ years of experience as an Estimator in the HVAC and mechanical installation field(s)
  • 5+ years of experience with cost estimation software (TRIMBLE AutoBid, EXCEL)
  • 7+ years of experience with construction processes, materials, and cost estimation methods
  • 5+ years of experience with construction estimation
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior or managerial position
  • Examples of successful project estimates and bids in the commercial, residential, and/or industrial industries
  • Experience communicating with diverse teams and stakeholders

Nice-To-Haves

  • 10+ years as Chief Estimator for commercial or industrial HVAC, Refrigeration, and/or Ductwork projects
  • Formal degree and/or certifications
