Description

We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Accounting Department by managing financial transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial data. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity while helping drive the company’s revenue and production objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing assets, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Assist with summarizing current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
  • Assist with monthly commission payable process.
  • Assist with monthly A/R invoicing and collections.
  • Assist with monitoring and implementing all accounts payable check activation and wire transactions.
  • Assist with the monthly account reconciliation process.
  • Manage and maintain corporate credit card programs and enforce policies.
  • Assist with administering all bank transactions and oversee data recording procedures monthly.
  • Provide support to auxiliary schedules for auditing purposes as per assigned work.
  • Assist with analyzing different general ledger accounts regularly.
  • Assist with the preparation of journal entries and combine common ledger for subsidiary accounts.
  • Assist with reconciling bank statements monthly.
  • Manage and enforce expense reporting policies and procedures within the company.
  • Manage and maintain finance-related programs and documents
  • Develop and formulate reports for repeated usage.
  • Effectively utilize MS Office, MS NAV and MS Dynamics or other Company Software as required for this position.
  • Attend and contribute to all required meetings.
  • Perform any other duties and tasks as may be assigned.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

  • Minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Business Central & Power BI is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Strong understanding of national and local tax regulations, including compliance reporting requirements.
  • Strong numerical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest rates, percentages, and volumes, as well as apply basic algebraic and geometric concepts.
  • Problem-solving ability to analyze and address practical financial issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization.
