Our Food Production commissary team is responsible for the production, receiving, storing, and shipping of our different Bakery items. These items can range from our signature popcorn, tortillas, and sweets treats to our fresh scratch-baked goods that you find in our stores. Lees Marketplace not only produces for their 7 stores but also has the opportunity to produce items for other retailers in our area. Primary Position Duties

• Safely set up, adjust, and operate bakery production equipment, such as popcorn kettles, tumblers, packaging equipment, mixers, ovens, and other equipment as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and positive environment; and consistently builds and supports a culture that is based on relationships and continuous improvement. Comply with food safety rules.
• Complete daily paperwork
• Work with Bakery Production Manager on production schedule per purchase orders and production forecast needs. Know and can follow master production plan.
• Manage orders on a timely manner and handle raw ingredient inventory.
• Responsible for receiving, storing, shipping bakery commissary products.
• Has knowledge of and complies with all company policies, procedures, programs, and directives. Refers to Team Member Handbook continually to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Promotes a harassment-free environment, and immediately reports any potentially harmful situation to management.
• Attends departmental, and company meetings as required; contributes to profits and revenues and meets productivity standards
  
  

Requirements

Position Requirements:

Experience: 2+ years of food production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Career-minded individual with management experience.

Minimum Age: 18 Years of age.

Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift 80+ pounds

Equipment: Popper kettle, caramel kettle, tumbler, warmers, packaging equipment, scales, ovens, racks, mixers etc.

Physical Abilities: Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, twist, and bend; repetitive use of hands and arms to push, pull, carry, lift, reach, grip, and balance; occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl. Lifting may include floor-to-shoulder and overhead lifting. Occasional use and climbing of step stools or ladders are required.

Communication: Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating and maintenance manuals.

Education Or Skills

Education: High School diploma or GED; or related job experience and/or training are required
