Summary

The Business Development Representative role is focused and growing and expanding City Electric Supply’s presence with Strategic and National customers. The candidate will be working to identify and develop customers located throughout the US utilizing CES’s 550+ branches and 5 distributions centers. In this fast-paced position, the ideal candidate will need to be professional, well organized, able to solve problems, and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied with the services, solutions and products supplied.

The candidate will work directly with stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions enabling us to provide superior service and win business. The Strategic Accounts Groups is as a centralized resource and point of contact for stakeholders enabling us to develop “outside the box” solutions and to leverage our existing nationwide branch network and distribution centers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Plan and implement new target market initiatives.
  • Identify and attract prospective national and strategic customers.
  • Set goals and develop plans for business and revenue growth.
  • Prospect new national & strategic accounts and further develop existing customer base.
  • Research prospective accounts in target markets, pursue leads, and move them through the sales cycle.
  • Maintaining up to date industry knowledge on products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer design and sales teams to consult on products and ensure end customer design requirements are met.
  • Develop, present, and negotiate quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
  • Attend industry conferences, conduct sales meetings, and conduct training for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide product and educational demonstrations to customers, engineers, and CES branches.
  • Provide marketing materials on company products and services to qualified prospects.
  • Work with the management and marketing teams to assist in the follow-up activities related to specific marketing campaigns and webinars.
