Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
- Lead project teams, including subcontractors and staff, across various project phases.
- Provide support for pre-construction planning, estimating, and job development to enhance project delivery.
- Work in the office and conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
- Communication and Leadership
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, delivering updates and addressing concerns.
- Interface with ownership and contribute to strategic decision-making with a holistic project management approach.
- Resolve conflicts effectively and foster a positive team environment.
- Act as a leader by assisting with punch lists and hands-on tasks when needed to show how to get it done.
- Technical Proficiency
- Utilize construction management and estimating software to streamline workflows.
- Be tech-savvy with tools like Dropbox for document management and ensure prompt communication through email and other platforms.
- Oversee resource allocation, cost control, and documentation (schedules, budgets, reports).
- Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
- Handle rare weekend work if project demands arise.
- Manage travel logistics, including per diem and accommodations, as needed.
- Experience and Skills
- 5+ years of proven experience in project management within the commercial construction industry.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing diverse teams and driving accountability.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools and estimating software.
