We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities that align with the company’s growth strategy. This role will be responsible for overseeing the full M&A lifecycle, from maintain the M&A pipeline to sourcing targets to leading due diligence to structuring and closing transactions.

- Target Identification & Deal Sourcing:
- Drive the identification and tracking of potential acquisition targets that further the company’s progress toward long-term strategic goals through market research, competitive analysis, and industry networking.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including investment bankers, private equity firms, and other deal sources, to ensure a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
- Establish initial contact with potential targets along with establishing NDA and IOI documentation.
- Due Diligence Oversight:
- Oversee and manage the due diligence process on active acquisition targets, collaborating with internal and external cross-functional teams (finance, legal, product management, operations, and other functions) to evaluate targets.
- Ensure thorough analysis of financial, operational, and strategic factors, and assess risks, synergies, and integration potential.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuations, and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of potential deals.
- Transaction Execution & Deal Structuring:
- Lead negotiations and work with external advisors (legal, financial, tax) to structure transactions and finalize agreements.
- Manage the transaction timeline and coordination of resources (both internal and external) to ensure timely execution of deals.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of M&A opportunities and strategic rationale to the Board and senior executives.
- Collaboration with Integration Team:
- Work closely with the integration team to ensure a smooth transition and handoff of relevant information post-transaction.
- Provide necessary documentation, financial insights, and strategic direction to support post-acquisition planning and integration efforts, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a M&A leadership position.
- Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and executing M&A transactions.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of M&A legal documentation, transaction structures, and post-deal integration considerations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex relationships.
- Ability to think strategically and execute in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
