Position Summary
The Sushi Cook helps prepare mise en place for nigiri, sashimi, and cooked dishes with incredible attention to detail for the restaurant SHINGO and carefully washes all used wares.

Position Summary
The Sushi Cook helps prepare mise en place for nigiri, sashimi, and cooked dishes with incredible attention to detail for the restaurant SHINGO and carefully washes all used wares.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND TASKS
- Check freshness of food and ingredients
- Prepare ingredients for nigiri, sashimi, handrolls, and cooked dishes
- Washes all wares during service including glassware, tableware, kitchen utensils, etc.
- Has incredible attention to detail in the food preparation process, mastering quality control
- Provides Omotenashi service to all guests and teammates
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
- Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
- Represents themselves with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
- Maintains a Service-focused approach, with a caring and sincere attitude at all times.
- Punctual and professional for meetings, and in corresponding to clients.
- Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of Prep Cook/Sushi Cook Experience
- Strong guest service orientation.
- Great communication skills (Interacts in a professional manner with clients, management, team
- Identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Ability to take directions and be a team player.
- Multi-task oriented and self-motivated.
- Passionate about food and beverage industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Solid knowledge of local area.
