Sullivans is seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Specialist to manage the efficient and cost-effective handling of all incoming materials, goods, and supplies. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining strong supplier and carrier relationships. The specialist will work closely with Product Development, Planning and Sales teams to streamline inbound logistics processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Sullivans is seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Specialist to manage the efficient and cost-effective handling of all incoming materials, goods, and supplies. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining strong supplier and carrier relationships. The specialist will work closely with Product Development, Planning and Sales teams to streamline inbound logistics processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Introductions & Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to onboard new products, including assigning codes, maintaining files, and managing initial sample orders.
- Enter and process company purchase orders (POs), communicate with vendors, and post to internal systems.
- Maintain vendor and factory records, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Identify slow-moving products and recommend items for clearance.
- Negotiate delivery timelines and cost adjustments with the Import Operations Manager and vendors.
- Work directly with freight partners to consolidate shipments and book sea freight containers.
- Coordinate with the National Accounts team for exclusive customer SKU setup, ensuring timely processing and on-time delivery of POs.
- Support sales and marketing teams with keying in promotional orders and closeouts.
- Generate and maintain logistics reports, including:
- Weekly inbound and outbound reports for sales reps and showrooms.
- Closeout promotion performance reports.
- Yearly vendor purchase summaries.
- Forecasting reports on product sell-through percentages.
- Consolidation tracking reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2+ years in inbound logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Communication & Coordination: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and logistics partners.
- Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
