Company Description

Authors Unbound (AU) is a full-service author event agency and speakers bureau dedicated to creating powerful literary experiences for authors and hosts alike. We help to promote the authors we represent, identify possible speakers for hosting organizations, arrange the invitation, create rewarding programming, and all the details in between. With over ten years of experience in coordinating literary events - particularly Common Read programs and signature author series - we serve as thoughtful and responsive advocates for both authors and their audiences.

AU was founded in 2018, and now represents over 300 NYT bestselling and award-winning authors and arranging/coordinating ~800 events per year. Authors Out Loud, the kid lit branch of the agency, went live in late 2021, and Authors Outside, the environmental lit branch, was launched in early 2022. Director/Founder Christie Hinrichs has been in the industry for over 20 years, and has a background in event management and the literary arts. The company operates virtually, and all staff populate a virtual workspace (over multiple platforms including Google Docs, Slack, Toggle and via the URL-accessible database) telecommuting from home offices.
