The Nurse Educator Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and evaluating educational programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of nursing staff. This role involves designing, implementing, and assessing educational initiatives to ensure high standards of nursing practice and patient care. The Nurse Educator Coordinator will collaborate with leadership to address the professional development needs of nurses, implement evidence-based practices, and promote continuous learning within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement orientation programs, continuing education, and specialized training for nursing staff.
• Design and deliver educational sessions, workshops, and seminars to support the professional development of nursing staff.
• Assess the needs of nursing staff and collaborate with leadership to develop targeted educational programs.
• Act as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical skills, patient care techniques, and professional development.
• Encourage an environment of continuous learning by facilitating regular in-service education sessions and workshops.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, nurses, and leadership to identify educational needs and improve nursing care practices.
• Ensure that nursing educational programs comply with accreditation and regulatory standards, including continuing education requirements for nursing licensure.
• Stay informed on national and local healthcare regulations and ensure that educational programs align with these standards.
• Stay updated on current research, trends, and evidence-based practices in nursing education and healthcare.
• Support and encourage nurses to engage in professional development activities, including certifications, conferences, and continuing education courses.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field preferred.
  
  

• Licensure/Certification:
• Current, active RN license in SC.
