Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee excavation, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and landscaping projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in heavy equipment operation, site supervision, and civil construction, with the ability to manage projects from start to finish, including demolition, rough grading, utility installation, and final landscaping.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee excavation, grading, trench work, and underground utility installation.
• Operate and manage heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
• Use Trimble GPS for grading and layout.
• Supervise site crews, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality control.
• Coordinate project timelines, materials, and workforce allocation.
• Manage concrete flatwork, curbs, gutters, ADA ramps, and steps.
• Oversee final landscaping, including sod, seeding, and tree planting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and environmental guidelines.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure smooth execution.
• Identify and resolve on-site challenges proactively.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in excavation, earthwork, or site supervision.
• Strong background in civil construction, grading, and underground utilities.
• Proficiency in Trimble GPS for grade and layout.
• Experience with concrete, flatwork, curbs, and ADA compliance.
• Landscaping superintendent experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and site plans.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Valid driver's license required.
  
  

Working Conditions & Physical Effort

• Requires lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, and climb throughout the workday.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, and odors.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
