Job Description:

As Corporate Director of Facilities, assists in leading, directing, and supporting all hotel facility functions, providing guidance regarding equipment, systems, life safety, and other items associated with hotel maintenance and property conditions. This a semi-remote role combined with 75% of travel. The role will be responsible for hotels in all areas where Vision Hospitality Group manages properties. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

  • Assist with the training of property level to ensure they carry out duties effectively.
  • Educate and train property-level engineers on current safety protocols to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and company procedures.
  • Monitor maintenance program goals through Quore and other company metrics.
  • Guide to help reduce costs through training, support, and communicating best practices.
  • Assist in setting procedures to ensure the security of inventory and assets.
  • Establish guidelines for the replenishment of necessary hotel supplies in all facility areas.
  • Ensure all electronic logs and life safety inspections are kept current and tracked for completion and follow-up on deficiencies.
  • Provide operations team support in times of emergencies or natural disaster situations.
  • Work with the team to ensure procedures are in place for emergencies.
  • Perform property engineering audits twice per year through Quore system.
  • Lead the management of special capital projects such as major mechanical replacements.
  • Report on all relevant property issues to regional operations support and property team
  • Assist property in securing and reviewing competitive bids for capital projects using preferred vendors and local vendors.
  • Assist staff to properly cataloging all property mechanical equipment with location, origination date, make, model, and known repairs within Quore software.
  • Assist Regional Operations support and Hotel Managers.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by executive management.

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Preferred certification in one or more of the following trades preferred- HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Project Management
  • Five years (or more) Director of Engineering or management level engineering and maintenance experience in hospitality and/or related field (commercial property/residence, etc.), multi-property experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership skills, hospitality industry standards for employee/guest interaction and professionalism are expected
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive travel required (75%)
  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends or when business demands.
  • Requires standing, sitting, riding, driving for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up-to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
  • Good near and distant vision and use of finger dexterity working with mechanical and electrical items used in a hotel setting.
