Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines used to sharpen carbide saw blades.
• Inspect saw blades for cracks, chips, and necessary repairs.
• Perform repair tasks, including removing and replacing damaged tips using a torch and brazer shaft.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  
  

Essential Functions

• Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
• Run and inspect saw blades as they are sharpened to print requirements
• Maintain equipment, general PMs clean grease, and change cutting wheels, etc. As required
• Maintain proper flow of material through the production area.
• Keep track of all required paperwork
• Notify the team member of material shortages
• Responsible for housekeeping in the work area and follow 6S requirements
• Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
• Strong understanding of general equipment and operations.
• Ability to learn and comprehend complex machine setups
• Ability to read blueprints and take measurements with calipers and other measuring devices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Long periods of standing. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Use welding gloves while brazing and ensure a well-ventilated area to dissipate flux fumes. Safety glasses shall also be worn at all times.
