Imaging Assistants perform a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The Imaging Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting. The Imaging Assistant is trained to use a variety of equipment, computers, and software. Imaging Assistants may be assigned to work in various imaging areas, assist multiple radiology modalities and/or clinical services per operational needs. The incumbent must be able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment. Imaging Assistants assist with exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education - Graduation from high school or equivalent required.

Experience - Previous experience in a medical setting helpful but not necessary.

Licensure/Certification - Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Must have typing, computer and related skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to professionally communicate with patients, physicians and fellow employees. Ability to apply technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
